Footscray Primary School

The Inner West Symphony Orchestra rehearses every Monday during school terms at Footscray Primary School, a location rich in history.

Location: Rehearsals take place in the Greenwood Building at Footscray Primary School, 100 Geelong Rd, Footscray. Enter via gate on Commercial Rd (near Catherine St corner). The Greenwood Building is between the outdoor basketball court and the school oval.

Time: Mondays from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM (Baton down at 7:15 PM)

About Footscray Primary School:
Footscray Primary School No. 253 first opened as a National School on 13 August 1860, with a single wooden classroom. A detached bluestone classroom was later constructed between 1864-65 and completed in 1868. This operated as a Common School until the Education Act of 1872 came into effect.
