The Inner West Symphony Orchestra (IWSO) is seeking violinists, violists, cellists, two double bassists and a harpist to join our ensemble. We are a vibrant community orchestra made up of passionate musicians who come together to present inspiring performances across Melbourne’s western suburbs.

Our repertoire ranges from classical masterpieces to contemporary works, and we strive for a high standard of musicianship within a supportive and welcoming environment. If you’re at a minimum 5th grade AMEB standard (or equivalent) and looking to play regularly with a committed and friendly group, we’d love to hear from you.

Harpists: Applicants must have their own pedal harp and be able to transport it to and from our rehearsal location and performance venues. We program beautiful, varied works that showcase the harp and offer the opportunity to play a meaningful role within the ensemble.
