The IWSO is proudly run by a dedicated committee of volunteers, whose passion and commitment help bring our music and community programs to life.

Committee

Yilin Wang

President

Yilin is a chartered accountant with a background in commercial finance. Her focus is on community outreach, council/corporate partnerships, long-term organisational planning and financial management.

Elisa Grech

Founder / Vice President

Elisa is a business owner with a background in music education and is a co-founder of the IWSO. She focuses on marketing, council/corporate partnerships and long-term organisational planning.

Paul Brand

Secretary

Paul is an ICT manager with expertise in ICT, education and the not-for-profit sectors. His focus is on establishing backend/IT/core processes, systems, process improvement and not-for-profit reporting obligations.

Emma Rudin

Founder / Treasurer

Emma is a music educator and a co-founder of the IWSO. Her focus is on education partnerships and collaboration, finance operations, facilities and memberships.

Andrew Derrett

General Member

Andrew is a professional musician and an instrumental woodwind teacher who enjoys playing in community orchestras around Melbourne. He writes blogs for the IWSO website, concert program notes and produces the members’ newsletter.

Liam Green

General Member

Liam is a Mornington-based musician and teacher. He is passionate about orchestral music, concert band music and music education. He plays bass trombone with the IWSO.

Andrew Leach

Artistic Director

Andrew is an experienced music educator, instrumentalist and conductor. He oversees the IWSO’s artistic and creative vision with a deep commitment to deliver engaging and inspiring performances through imaginative programming, ensemble leadership and community-building.

Nicole Le Grand

General Member

Nicole is a librarian with a background in publishing. She coordinates the IWSO’s marketing, communications and social media, and designs the concert posters and programs.

Kim Pearson

General Member

Kim is a Registered Music Therapist specialising in paediatrics, and empowering neurodivergent individuals. Her focuses for the IWSO are managing memberships and onboarding, as well as co-ordinating small ensemble performances.
